Smoke Damage in Your Home

Smoke damage resulting from a fire is a cause for serious concern. Most often, smoke damage is covered under your homeowner’s insurance policy, but disputes are likely to arise. Smoke can cause damage to your property in a mere matter of moments, and can linger for years on end if left untreated.

Smoke Damage from Wild Fires

Claims for wildfire damages can be very complex. Insurance companies will cover some of your damages but not all. Even if your claim is accepted, there’s a very good chance they’ll only cover a fraction of the loss. Insurance adjusters will not tell you that your home has Smoke Contamination. This type of damages CANNOT be seen by the visible eye and an expert is needed to properly assess the damages. Smoke contamination can be a dangerous if the proper steps are not taken for clean up.

Ash and Soot Damage

Ash and Soot Damage is covered under your home owners insurance policy. If the property is not completely destroyed, policyholders may face a partial loss situation, with the probability of hidden damage. Hidden damage can include a wide variety of things including any inadequate or improper repair or cleaning methods, smoke and/or ash remnants, diminished air quality, or air duct destruction.

Tree Damage

High wind gusts can cause significant damage to your property and should be evaluated by a professional. Common high wind gusts have caused harm to home owners with high repair cost. Most clients that we have served have had hidden damages that aren’t realized upon the initial assessment.

Total Property Loss

Ultimately, it is the insurance company that declares a piece of property a total loss. Bear in mind that you reserve the right to hire an adjuster of your choosing to assess the damage to your property in addition to the adjuster assigned by the insurance company.

A compelling sign that points to your property being a total loss is significant structural damage. If the core components of the property are compromised, then the property may be considered a total loss.

Wind Damage

Damage caused by wind is covered in most homeowners insurance policies, however there can be ambiguous exclusions or limitations which may cause your claim to be denied. Claims adjusters will go out of their way to quickly close your case by determining the damage to be outside of the policy coverage. A second assessment from a professional recommended by us could save you thousands.

Water Damage

Water damage can cause extensive, irreparable damage to your foundation and structural supports. If not immediately treated and dried out, it can be the perfect area for mold to grow. If the damage has come from something on the property or a local flood, it is likely the insurance company will face heavy losses, and will fight your claim as much as possible. We know what you deserve, and we will help you get it.

Mold Damage

Mold comes in many forms, and is among the most difficult of treatments to ensure the safety of someone’s home. Despite awareness packages and public notices, finding mold in your home has the potential to be deadly to you and your loved ones. Having a professional that has your best interest at heart review the damage can be the difference between success and failure in your claim.
